Technology has changed the way we do things

Hello All,

Technology has changed the way we do things, i remember reading a Format magazine that is published here in South Africa in 1998, they stated clear that if you are not computer literate by 2010, it will be difficult for you to get a job, and that is happening right now.  One must be able to be able to use e-mail, and internet. When it comes improving reading, writing and vocabulary, technology has advanced, it is making things easier for everyone who is able to use technology, a teacher could be conducting a class online and the students also participating. In that way they improve their writing skills and at the same they also improve vocabulary, no one want to write wrong spelling.

It is important that we educators to be versatile when it comes to technology, so that they can be able deliver. I hope what i have learned will not end here, i must share it with learners, that is why we are doing this course so that we can improve teaching with technology, learning how to use google doc is another experience, the fact that i could do it own my own that shows that i am following.

Every week, everyone who doing "building teaching skills through the interactive web" is adventuring into the new world of technology by learning new things. Listening skills is very important especially if you are learning or teaching english, as all knows that english is not our mother tougue, and also learning how pronounce words correctly is important and at the same time we are improving writing skill, beacuse our course requires us to post our activities.

Learning about Delicious has made my life easier than before, now i can bookmark all my favorite sites and i have already started bookmarking them, that is good on my side, by the end of next week my delicious page will be filled with my favorite sites. I just imagine i want to visit 15 sites, that means i must visit one site at a time, and then when finished, go another one, but that has come to an end with delicious.com, all-in-one, this is like a four-in-one printer, a printer that can print, scan, fax and copy. Thanks to the power of technology

Practice makes perfect

Hello,


There more you spend time listening to english speakers the better of understanding the language and mastering the language, and you acclamatize to the language, pronunciation of words, writing of correct spelling, it makes your life easier.  I enjoy listening to my favorite radio station in Sandton, Johannesburg: TalkRadio 702 on channel 856 and VOA on DSTV. These channels are good if you want to improve your listening skill.

Week 2 Web Searching

This topic is interesting and today I was teaching my learners some of the things that I have learnt, especially web searching, using different search to accomplish your task, and to they thought you could search for information by using www.yahoo.com and www.google.com and I asked them to Wikipedia, and I am looking forward in learning.
